ERC-20 token on Polygon blockchain
no monetary value
used for gratitude, sharing, and governance
completely gasless within Discord
we use tip.cc (a Discord tipping bot) to make everything smooth and simple. it:
creates an escrow wallet automatically
handles transactions without gas fees
keeps everything secure
makes sharing gratitude friction-free
never share personal details or seed phrases
tip.cc will never ask for your private information
only interact with the bot through standard commands
if something feels off, ask in #help
head to the #send-gratitudes channel
watch how others share gratitude
start with small amounts as you learn
ask questions in #help if needed
the basics:
use the #send-gratitudes channel
type: $tip @username X signals
add a note about why you're grateful
spread the good vibes
example:
$tip @username 10 signal for that amazing share on solarpunk architecture - totally shifted my thinking!
you will absolutely fail your first, and probably second and third times. it's practically a rite of passage. everyone will adore watching it happen and shower you in $SIGNAL as a welcome present.
DM the tip bot (tip.cc#7731 — or just click our bot friend in the #send-gratitudes channel and you'll be able to send a direct message) with $balance
to see how many $SIGNAL tokens you have.
if you want to move your $SIGNAL to your own wallet:
use the $withdraw signal
command
provide your wallet address when asked
specify how many tokens to withdraw
tip.cc handles the transaction with minimal fees (no MATIC needed from you).
there is very little reason to do this, unless you simply feel like showing off that sweet, sweet $SIGNAL in your wallet. we aren't using on-chain governance nor are we token-gating anything within the community for the time being. so please, don't feel pressured to do this (in fact, it will make it harder to tip in-community if you do so)!
$SIGNAL is about recognition, not monetary value
there's no "right" amount to send
gratitude is meant to be shared
when in doubt, err on the side of generosity
it's okay to start small and learn as you go
